Privacy Policy
Toxin Eliminator (“the Extension” and this website) helps you identify Amazon product listings that appear to use 100% natural fabrics and avoid items that appear to contain synthetic fibers.
1. Who we are / contact
Provided by the publisher listed on the Chrome Web Store listing and this site. For privacy questions, support, or problems with the Extension (including if it stops working), contact:
2. Data we process
The Extension is designed to work primarily on your device.
- Amazon page content: When you visit Amazon product, search, or browse pages, the Extension reads text on those pages (and may load product detail pages for listing cards) solely to detect fabric composition and highlight matches in your browser.
- Preferences: On/off state, trial start time, and (if you activate Pro) a license key are stored in Chrome extension storage on your device.
- Purchases: If you buy Pro, our payment provider (e.g. Stripe) processes payment details. We may receive your email to deliver a license key.
3. Data we do not collect
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not upload your Amazon browsing history or product lists for advertising.
- The Extension does not include third-party ad trackers.
4. Permissions
- Storage — settings, trial, license key on device.
- Host access to Amazon — required to read fabric text and show highlights while you shop.
5. Third parties
Amazon’s privacy policy applies to your use of Amazon. Stripe (or your configured processor) and our email provider apply to checkout and license delivery.
6. Retention
Local extension data remains until you clear it or uninstall. Payment and email records follow our providers’ policies and legal requirements.
7. Children
Not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Accuracy, “as is,” and limitation of liability
The Extension provides informational assistance only. Fabric detection is based on product text and page content supplied by sellers and retailers. That text may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Highlights and “Approved Fabric” labels are not a guarantee of material content, safety, health effects, or product quality.
- Always verify materials on the product page before purchasing.
- We are not responsible for purchasing decisions, product defects, allergic reactions, or other outcomes based on use of the Extension.
- The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
- Amazon, Chrome, and third-party sites may change at any time. The Extension may break, partially fail, or stop working without notice.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the Extension or a Pro license is limited to the amount you paid us for that license (if any) in the twelve (12) months before the claim.
Full terms: Terms of Use.
9. Support if something breaks
If the Extension malfunctions, stops highlighting correctly, fails after a browser or Amazon update, or you cannot activate a license, email garvwebdesign@gmail.com with a short description of the problem, your browser version, and (for purchases) your receipt email. We will try to help, but we do not guarantee a fix or continuous operation.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the date above will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
